Julie Lee, based in Seoul, expertly helps companies assess and develop candidates to fill senior executive positions as an active member of Egon Zehnder’s Financial Services, Consumer, and Technology & Communications practice groups. She is valued by clients for her insightful approach and invaluable support and advice for assembling the best possible executive team, while focusing primarily on general managers, commercial and marketing directors, and human resources heads. Julie also belongs to the Firm’s Industrial Practice.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Julie worked for Hong Kong-based CGS-CIMB Securities, a joint venture of Malaysian universal bank CIMB Group Holdings Berhad and China Galaxy International. After gaining experience as an equity analyst in the consumer/leisure sector she advanced to the rank of Senior Associate and gained deep hands-on experience conducting cross-border M&A and equity financing across Korea and Southeast Asia. Her highlights include raising capital for an integrated casino resort, guiding a Korean hotel operator’s acquisition of a duty-free company, and managing the sale of a majority stake in a port and logistics. She took part in a spin-off of the Investment Banking Division to form a separate GP entity, CCG Investment Asia to create private investment arm for CIMB and launched private credit funds for real estate financing.
Julie completed a BA in economics at Yonsei University’s Underwood International College with an International Baccalaureate from International School of Paris.
